With around 65 in attendance, a fantastic evening was had by all on Friday 7th December. The evening started with the new Chairman - Mike Macdonnell giving an encouraging speech about the highs and lows of the 2018 season and what to look forward to in 2019… as well as a detailed review of Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Tottenham! Following this, the new Denton Pavilion was officially opened with thanks being shown to Chris Denton for his incredible donation. Photos of the fireworks that followed to come!

After standing in the bitter cold it was time for a bit of Lamb Tagine and trimmings to warm the belly – and what an excellent job Elliot Cantrell did of providing the food. Everyone on the evening commented about the high standard of the food provided and no one was left hungry.

Awards were then handed out to the deserving winners. A list of all the winners is shown in another article here.

The final Golden Balls draw of the season also took place and rather controversially Will Knibbs took home 1st Prize with Harry Knibbs taking 2nd Prize! Chris Denton kindly donated 3rd prize back to the club and Stephanie Pitt won 4th prize.

Overall, the evening was a resounding success for our club and I’d like to thank all those that helped as well as those that attended.
