Keith was a member of the Club from the 1970’s and a Vice President. He moved into the area from the West Midlands and quickly established himself as an immensely popular individual and someone who wanted to enjoy everything HHCC could offer him.

A proficient wicket-keeper and middle-order batsman, Keith would represent the Saturday and Sunday XIs with an armour of jokes, anecdotes and quick-witted banter. He played a significant role throughout the 2nd XI's promotion winning seasons in 1981 and 1982, taking catches and stumpings and making useful runs whenever the top order failed.

Keen to give something back, he volunteered to join the Club’s committee and served loyally as Bar Secretary for several years, ensuring players and supporters alike remained appropriately lubricated! He seldom tired of informing newcomers that ‘just the 12 barrels' have been ordered for the Annual Club BBQ!! Clearly the drink-drive laws were somewhat different in those days.

In 1986 He was one of the founding Members of the HH Golf Society, and participated enthusiastically in the annual tour every year thereafter for nearly 30 years. At Forest Pines in 2003, he became Tour Champion and celebrated by buying everyone champagne. He also founded the ‘Autumn Meet’, which continues to this day.

In later life, he turned his hand to writing poetry. In 2001, his poems were published in the book: Travels With A Rhymester and More.
