Having lost the toss Horton were asked to bat.
After two innings full of good intent from James Redding (38) and Ryan Turner (24), the game was set up nicely at 86-2. Unfortunately from then on, if you’ve been following in recent weeks, an all too familiar collapse proceeded, and we were all out for 97.
In reply, Oundle passed the target for the loss of two wickets, with only Will Charter giving a good account of themselves with the ball, taking 2-28 off his 5.1 overs.
The team know there is enough talent in the changing room to turn this bad run around, and Ryan and Gus showed what can be accomplished with some application.
Next week we are at home to Desborough.
