As the 2's rocked up to Denton road it beautiful sunshine the spirits were high after a fantastic win the week before.
Yet again another lost toss making it 5/5 meant Horton were sent out to field.
Knowing it would be a hard slog the team pulled together. Unfortunately some brilliant batting from Mark Carter and Steve Musgrave put Wollaston into a commanding position. However Horton didn't give in and were throwing themselves round the field.
Unfortunately it was one of those days were some poor balls were put away and balls didn't fall to fielders leaving Wollaston to get to 266. Our heads were still up though as we knew on a good wicket runs were still available.
In the second innings some rash decisions and a poor performance with the bat led us to 95 all out. It was a shame not to give the Horton faithful and better performance to watch.
However after the game all the boys knew the team we could be and are excited to get things back on track. It was nice to see the confidence in the side knowing we could quickly turn this around next game.
Sometimes it just doesn't go your way ey!
We are away at Rushden next week hoping to put in a dominant performance and get a win
