The HHCC Legends of the 4th took on Barton Seagrave. Losing the toss Horton were set to field on probably the windiest and coldest day for many and it was a testament to all the juniors in the squad that they managed to bowl and field admirably. Big shout to our new keeper Ted "The Gloves" Flynn who only let 1 bye go. Our bowlers toiled in the hard conditions and despite our best (and worse efforts) Barton got to 300+ at the end of their innings. Our champagne moment was Mitchell Boffin taking a IPL level catch in the deep.
With Finn Herrington and Adam Willis scoring all our runs and a cameo from Lee Willis we managed a respectable total.
Starting 2019 with a loss was not the plan considering how hard we have worked over the winter - but internal workings of the team are excellent and there was a marked improvement from last season in all our abilities.
