The 4ths were home to the OGs today.
Winning the toss Horton put the OGs into bat. With one of our strongest bowling line-ups this season we were able to restrict the opposition to 164 runs which set us a target of 4 runs an over. Wickets for Alex Morton, Dylan Martin and Elliot Cantrel with misery figures from Finn Herrington backed up by an improved fielding performance especially from our keeper Ted Flynn and John Jesu gave us the sense that it was going to be tight game.
With the target set, Alex Morton with DKH and Dylan Martin, kept us well ahead of the run rate with the middle order working hard to stay ahead of the run-rate and batting positively - taking shots on. However, wickets kept falling and once again we came up short.
This performance followed-on from last weeks performance and the positive play - whilst not on the right side of the result - once again showed considerable improvement.
Next week we are away to S&L Corby - let's keep working at nets!!
