The 4ths were home on a glorious day to Geddington 4ths.
Winning the toss Geddington put Horton into bat and with some good partnerships Horton managed 3 batting points finishing on 128 with runs from Alan Pitt, Lee Willis, Vignesh Sudhakar and James Martin. Most batsmen managed to whilst get a start also managed to build partnerships and was overall a much better batting performance.
Tea was as always the best in the League with homemade banana bread and carrot cake - with plenty for the supporters as well
With the required rate just over 3 runs an over we needed an exceptional bowling performance. Vignesh and George Pitt kept Geddington under the rate for a while and with Lewis Orton taking wickets it looked promising. However a few strong overs from Geddington saw them home. As a fielding effort it was excellent which is easier as all the bowlers where bowling to their field.
Again another great week of improvement from the juniors, adults and pensioners in the team - and good work to all those that netted on Thursdays and Friday - it shows!!!
Let's keep fighting - if Joshua and hit the canvas so can our opposition.
