Horton lost the toss and had to bat, first time this season, how would fare?
Batting
With Kris and Haniel taking on the new ball then pressure and uncertainty could play a part - not for them....23 runs between them with only 1 out.
Next up new pairing Manpreet and youngster Henry Edwards.....36 runs between them, no outs and a fine display of batting.
Pair three Joe and Oscar, initially unsettled by the double and triple bounces soon got ahead with 19 runs but 11 wides in their 4 overs took them to 42 in their total. Gurshaan and Harvey (another young'n) just floored the opposition with 43 runs between them (7x 4's and 1 x 6' Gurshaan, Harvey 4, once again no outs....Horton 374 for 1.
Bowling
Again an ethos to bowl on the off and tidy.........(Results below with 2 overs bowled per bowler)
Manpreet - 6 runs 3 wkts, Gurshaan 3 runs 4 wickets, Henry 4 runs 1 wkt, Harvey 10 runs, 1 wkt, Krish 6 runs 1 wkt, Joe 7 runs, Oscar 18 runs, 2 wkts, Haniel 9 runs, 1 wkt....what a performance.
All the wickets bowled apart from a fine catch from Oscar so again a great bowling performance, importantly, just 1 no ball and 2 wides for the whole team.
