A super close win for the u11's

Horton u11's entertained Stony Stratford in an end of season friendly. This is the final match before next weekends u11 festival. Horton lost the toss and bowled.

A mixed bag from the bowlers left Stony well on top at the 3/4 stage with too many wides and some indifferent fielding. Reyansh (1-14) and Lily (1-9) keeping things under control. Then came the spin twins of Krish and Oscar who turned the game with the help of wicket keeper Joe who took four stumpings to restrict the away side to 156 - 8. Krish finishing on 2-18 and Oscar 2-14.

With a pretty stiff target Horton started a little slow but Oscar at 3 contributed 20 no with a six and 3 fours. The imputes was continued by Krish with 16 . With the final pair in, it was all getting a little tight but with the experience of Joe with 20 and the outstanding Venkat on 14 rotating strike, Horton completed their innings on 164 to win by 8 runs

A super win and a great all round team performance.
