A close win for the u11's

A beautiful sunny evening and a low bouncing pitch with the visit of ON's to Denton Road for an end of season match. Horton won the toss and batted with Lily and Erin both contributing well. Henry and Will pushed the score along but the acceleration came with Krish (15no) and Joe (23no) together with Venkat (8no) .

Horton finished on a pretty par score of 123-7.

ON's started well and always look to threaten the home sides total. Some excellent bowling from Lily (1-5), Erin (1-7), Will (1-7), Henry (1-15) & Krish (1-15) kept the run rate down.

With 12 needed off the last over, county trialist Henry took the ball and bowled amazingly. It all looked in the balance before Joe took a stumping off quickie Henry to effectively end the chase. ON's finishing on 116-6

So a close 7 run win and a fabulous all round performance from the young Horton team.
