First Game for Horton U11's

An early start (9am) did not dampen the enthusiasm for Hortons U11's first game of the season at St Crispins.

Debut games for Reyansh, Venkat and Will ably lead by the days Captain Kian.

Put into bat on a slight wet wicket Horton set about creating a score: Kian (23) & Venkat (7) started with some smart runs and blistering boundaries. Reyansh (7) and Will (6) followed with some measured calling and well run singles. Harvey (6) and Henry (11) applied a bit more pressure and dominance to the score with Oscar (16) and Nischay (7) taking us to the end of the innings with boundaries and strong shots

In fact all the pairs; called well, offered decisive shot making and applied measured thinking so that we in the end scored 98 FOR NO WICKETS. A very good batting performance.

We bowled effectively in all the pairs. Harvey looked and kept well in his new pads, Kian (Capt) and the bowlers set their own field, we gave no fours away and only a couple of wide/no balls. Congratulations to Will and Reyansh on their first wicket. we held Crispins to 60 runs for 4 wickets.
