Having concluded the 2023 league season, last Thursday evening the Under 17’s host Finedon Dolben at Denton Road in the first round of the U17 Knockout Cup.

Finedon won the toss and put the home team into bat. Horton openers Harvey (18) & Jake (43) made a steady paced start to the innings to reach 61 for the 1st wicket. Now joined by Ben M (34) and in turn Anvit (24), Horton continued to build the score to finish on 137 for 4 from the 20 over innings.

Opening the bowling for Horton, Ben M (3 for 18 off 3 overs) & Anvit (4 for 9 off 4 overs) saw the opponents wickets fall in quick succession with only to opener & #8 batsmen reaching double figure scores. 1 wicket each for Ben P, Harry F & Vinny saw us wrap the match up with the opponents on 71 all out from 16.1 overs.

This Thursday we travel to Oundle Town once again, for the Quarter Finals of the Cup
