Horton u13 sixers welcomed Overstone to Denton Road for the latest match in the league. Laying 6th & 4th respectively the match was billed as a close one, but the weather and the pitch thought otherwise.

Batting first Overstone got off to the best possible start with a 60 run opening partnership before the Horton bowlers got on top with Kian 1-5, the excellent Salaar 2-14, Oscar 2-5 and Krish 1-5 dragged the scoring back. Joe keeping wicket with three stumpings and a run out contributed, restricting Overstone to a gettable 119. The boys really pegged Overstone back. 9 wickets fell for 66 runs in the end.

Horton started brightly after the early loss of Salaar with Kian 35 and Krish 16 adding 42 for the 2nd wicket. Horton lost their last 8 wickets for just 29 runs to leave the home team on 72 all out off 17 overs, losing by 47 runs.

So again loads of learning to be done.
